Sanne Tamboer

Sanne Tamboer (MSc, Behavioural Science and Communication Science) is a PhD candidate in the Communication and Media group at the Behavioural Science Institute at Radboud University. Her main research interests involve journalism and news. More specifically, her project focuses on news literacy in early adolescents. Although early adolescents grow up in a world that is saturated with (online) information, they still have a hard time distinguishing real and fabricated information and evaluating the accuracy and trustworthiness of information. To aid young people in these challenges, this project aims to develop a more comprehensive theoretical model for news literacy in early adolescents as well as guidelines for effective intervention practice.
